There might be the opportunity to trade 8 or even 3 ounces of silver for 1 ounce of gold considering how valuable it is especially when there isn't any around.
At the same time, in such a situation gold might be significantly more valuable too at the same time, it might be even better to buy land and real estate with your gold and silver because their bubble might pop at the same time precious metals are booming.
