Dumbass here. Why am I losing so much money as I transfer and do things? For example, I buy $20 ETH on Coinbase. They say I have 12.7 available to transfer. When I send to my Metamask, I can now only send 8.43. Why am I losing so much? I'm just trying to get ETH to Metamask to buy more RUB.

How does one make himself not dependent upon society or anyone but himself?

I have urges to drop everything I'm doing, get rid of my useless possessions like furniture and extra clothing, and become homeless in front of the library. They sit there all day. But unlike them I will read and relish the gift I have been given - time immeasurable

I have enough money to live as a homeless man for an entire life many times over. What these other homeless men wish for among their heart's deepest desires, is what I have, so why am I troubled for more?

Am I misled by glittering lead and are these alternative lifestyles just dead pastures painted green? Or is this a path to enlightenment and freedom

I know the cultural memes of avoiding becoming a cog in your local machine, a helpful worker for a heartless corporation. Yet I've made myself do just so. In return for what? fair enough mate, was just being the doubles advocate. i do have a job doing what i'm interested in, but it wasn't easy and took a long time and lots of sacrifice, so i get that lots of people aren't willing to do that.

i know a lot of people who just drifted into jobs without thinking and never think of changing, so i was just being contrarian to possibly show something a lot of people don't think about. good luck going forward.

This will probably sound stupid, but if I'm not very good with people how would I start a charity? I like to help animals when I can, especially dogs because dogs are great, and I'd like to set up a small charity (or at least try to) in order to help dogs (and probably other animals because I just like animals).

My family kind of used to help animals (dogs, cats) without the charity part, so we've got quite a few contacts with veterinarians and the like in order to keep the animals healthy and through my experiences with animals of "owning" and taking care of them I think I could manage it, especially with a bit of help.

I want to help animals that are at pounds and the like be rehabilitated (if necessary) and find good homes and families to go to that will love them and take care of them like I would. I'd feel like shit if I simply had someone pay for an animal and then treat it like shit, so having a pet store is out. Stuff like that makes me mad, too. I don't even really want to think about it.

My problem is getting some kind of funding though, as I am seriously not good with people. I have anxiety and I'm not that great to be around, which is why I like animals. Not to say I'm an asshole or anything, or at least I try not to be, it's just I have trouble talking to people and opening up dialogues and the like. You know what I'm saying? Are there any thoughts you could throw my way towards starting a charity? I've been googling a decent amount and trying to absorb what I can, but are there any books that could be recommended here? I don't want to just rush into it and then completely mess up, and I certainly don't want to mess up when I have people and creatures depending on me.
