The threadsplitters took the smg bake too, I'm guessing to try and piss them off. I have almost never seen them this riled up, not since last year.

I saw that little swanky maneuver they did at the close. I think they're literally just trying to liquidate their long positions right now while they figure out wtf to do with us.

>run the money printers hard.
Partial default would kick inflation up A LOT. And I mean A LOT. They don't have the guts to hard default the entire debt but they could miss a few bond payments and try to walk it back. Can't walk back demand for treasuries though, weaker demand = higher interest rates = bigger gov deficits = more inflation = weaker demand. The cycle just intensifies ad nauseam. Treasuries exist to soak up money in the economy. They are like a sponge. They want existing money floating around in the economy to go into the sponge so that the new money they printed can take its place and the total money floating around doesn't jump so drastically and cause enormous spikes in the prices of real goods. And yet I keep hearing that stupid faggot nigger Yellen opening her whore mouth talking about buying her own treasuries if demand for treasuries disappears. God smite these people.
