Europoor here, I want to buy one of those cool Gold Certificate Bills, but the info on the internet is quite scarce.

I do have a silver certificate (the one on the pic, except 1935) and why are there silver certificates that go from 1$ to 10$. Why do the gold certificates go form 10$ to 1000$?? Like, I thought only the 20$ bill would be redeemable for a gold coin and the 1$ for a silver coin.

Also why did some bills back then have the "Payable to the bearer on demand", and other bills didn't?

They are somewhat random questions but I haven't been able to find the answer and I'm dead curious
