if btc is the same scam it's always been I will all-in with loans and margin long at 6k. it seems unreal that it will ever hit but if it does just all-in.
I would however start buying spot at 16k, 14k and 10k.

i bought 2 ~5k and then .25 when it was around 9k. I still had a lot of money to spare though, and didn't play with leverage much on the way up.
also at some point, even 3k buyers have to take profit that's why I'm paranoid and have been hedging on bitmex on the way up. otherwise it's just paper profit.

I took some profit. I've been pretty good at timing tops and bottoms.
Some people just have systems for risk management and taking profit and leaving the process completely devoid of emotion.
I need to work on that more, but it's getting there.
I rely on good meaningful data like charts too, max pain for options expiration, etc.
But I also rely a lot on sentiment. Like if I go completely manic, can't sleep, look at blockfolio non-stop, then I know a peak is approaching. If others on twitter are posting the same bull delusions as I was in 2017 (institutions are coming!), if /biz/ is spiking in activity, then my feelings are probably the same as others.

i have an underwater short at 14k and another at 15k. liquidation is 27k.
took profit on .5 btc still have 2.5 running. plus bunch of alts. I will buyback and there are many others that will.
i see so many confluences at 30k/40k even though it sounds delusional.

the difference with defi is there's 10000 shill posts for food token.
the difference between 2017 and now is ICOs happened simultaneously with the craze blowoff top whereas a lot of that smallcap craze already happened in august in 2020. though money still might flow there.
