Tesla already outsells most ICE model competitors, their market share is China is actually growing since they opened their new factory and the Model 3 is the number one selling car in Hong Kong of any type of car.

Teslas are selling like hotcakes, it's the other EVs that have a problem because they're not as good and they don't have access to the supercharger network. Most people haven't considered an EV because they don't know what they want or what is superior until you show them it, this is a key difference between Tesla and the other automakers that insist on trying to appease their boomer customers which is why car design has barely changed in the last 20 years.

Carbon fiber is easy to work with, SpaceX makes rockets out of it and that process is far more complex than anything you would find on a production line. Some Tesla Roadsters have a carbon fiber body as well.
