i lost like $1k day trading this week because i got emotional after increasing my share size while trying to trade using my phone instead of a PC. it was a painful lesson, but an important one.

people REALLY discount the effect that emotions play in trading. it's probably the most important shit. honestly i really just need to get around to learning enough Python to code a bot to trade for me, because honestly my strategy is sound (taking reversals of pullbacks in a trend and applying risk management to that) but when serious money is on the line i get emotional by price moving even a little against me and pussy out. if i automated it i wouldn't have that problem because it'd just perform every trade perfectly like a machine and never go against the rules even when it loses. it doesn't feel bad, and i need that.
