>Is steel a precious metal?

Japanese steel is. I had gotten this 18th century Wakizashi so razor sharp that I could cut clear through living trees up to 3.5" in diameter with a single powerful slice, nothing else on earth can do that.

Fighting about Japanese cartoons is cute and all, but Japanese metals are much cooler. I bought this hand-forged 18th century blade years ago and even though it's just 26" with tang I had gotten it so damn razor-sharp that I could cut through living trees up to 4" in diameter with 1 clean powerful slice, it's almost surreal. I don't think I could do that with any other type of blade on earth, the Japs really knew what they were doing.
