Reasons for Link price to go up in the next year:
1. T sigs: The first decentralized oracle provider to roll out threshold signatures will capture the market. There are plenty of screencaps floating around the archives proving that Band is so far behind on this that they're literally trying to copy what Link has done so far and hoping to gain advantages elsewhere
2. Defi: Link will pump any time defi pumps. It has become settled fact that the defi space relies on and respects CL's tech and management. Earlier this year many non-marines were buying Link almost like they were buying shares in a defi index
3. Staking: Search warosu for threads discussing both VRF and t sigs, and eventually you'll find the bread discussing in great detail what it means for CL to have both rolled out by the end of this year (both were mere promises in Jan 2020). With both out it's only a matter of getting things organized before staking gets rolled out--VRF+t sigs is all the tech needed for staking; there will be no "staking live" announcement
I'm considering selling my stack and longing w/ 3x leverage once t sigs rumors hit critical mass, then closing the position and buying back in after the news is a day old. It will be major, even though at that point the rewards for yield farming aLink will still far surpass anything that staking can provide
4. Repent: Eventually you will tire of paying short term capital gains taxes. Once you realize the true potential of the tech, I kindly invite you to buy a stack and NEVER FUCKING SELL IT. Defi farm yields are by their very nature temporary; the end game for marines is 5% staking rewards on $1000 Link. Pic related
If you never sell, you never pay tax on the massive appreciation that Link will realize in the coming decade

It seems that at any given point over the past decade, anyone who has gotten in and hodled at least part of their initial investment should be so far ahead. Any BTC acquired until 2017, any ETH acquired until late 2017, many of the alts that pumped during this latest run acquired from 2017-early 2020 (including LINK), defi acquired pre-August or really just pre-smartcon
Timing a major market movement is a sweet feeling but other than the huge gamblers on here surely we're all ahead, even if some of us are a long way off our own portfolio's ATH

I see this meme all the time and it just astounds me how retarded it is
Notice there's a single individual to represent "data providers." Providers, as in plural
Sometimes I think, "How am I so early?" And then shit like this reminds me it's because even some autists on /biz/ don't fucking understand the technology on even a basic level
Like trying to explain Amazon to someone in 1995. It's so comfy frens
