so I just sold the rest of my BTC except for some small coindimes and dust in a mobile wallet. been in since summer of 2011, remember ETH-head coworker laughing at me for not selling at 1.2k sometime in 2014. felt indifferent about it the whole time until the mania hit late last year. like, the time has not come yet to worry about selling back then.

tried going long a couple times early this year and when that didn't work I sold like 80% at 7k average , should have sold at the pops to 12k or 9k but I'm not a fucking wizard and still made life changing money. what's another 3x when you are already up 1000x.

with what i had left, i made a play on GNT which ended up going down like 70% but made it all back and then some shorting ETH and XRP on bitmex. withdrew another good chunk off that.

but the longer i trade, the more bored and greedy I get so I hit a 30% loss by not waiting for this obvious spike to 220 and then another smaller one from shorting BCH too early. i'm done with bitmex for now because I unfortunately haven't found enough self control yet to handle it long term.

anyways, I took whatever I didn't cash out and put it in DERO. BTC codebase is outdated hot garbage full of hacks to extend things without a proper refactor and it will never get better. IT projects die and get replaced all the time and Bitcoin is no different.

imagine the gargantuan task of actually pushing some meaningful upgrade to the base layer of Bitcoin without people like Peter Todd trolling the fuck out of you for the sake of their senior developer credit.

i know what a small dedicated team of extremely skilled people can do and this is it. the real deal. no design by committee consensus building bullshit. if Satoshi made Bitcoin today, he would make Dero.

If you missed Ethereum in 2015, better not miss that one too.
