Reminder that we beat Telsey's EPS target, and their PT was $19

everyone else expects a bad Q3 though, like estimates are (0.85) for EPS, even Telsey expects worse than that even though their price target is $19

meanwhile i'm here just holding through with my hopes and drems for Q3 (my notes)

expectations of (0.85) which frankly is a joke. I don't think anyone will be impressed if GME achieves (0.50), there's already been precedent of other struggling b&m retailers achieving positive EPS this Q3 so true expectations will be higher

personally I'm expecting/hoping for positive EPS even if it's just like 0.10
They announced that they would pay off majority of 2021 bonds early around the start of November so presumably Sept/October was already pulling in a lot of cash

But Telsey pic related expects (0.90) with price target of $19 so maybe it will moon away if only because GME is at a pitiful valuation of 0.15x revenues already (Party City is valued at ~0.3x of revenues as an example)

You all realize what will happen if Gamestop's price is at or near $19 for any considerable length of time, right?

Those are Q4 numbers, not Q3. But Rod's bear case is Telsey's base case, and Telsey has a price target of $19, so it's fair to say it's not priced in

Telsey estimates an abysmal (worse than street average) Q3 and pretty shit Q4 (equivalent to Rod's bear case) and still gives them a $19 P/T

BoA and Melvin Capital are the shorts, Wells Fargo recently bought a sizeable block of long shares. But the real reason? People, even rich people with MBAs in fancy suits, just go "lol gamestop" and fail to look deeper. But some analysts are catching on, example given.

GME will pop heavily upwards on earnings
>everyone thinks earnings will be bad and want to buy after
>investors know what to look for because TAG told them
>management knows what to say because Cohen told them
>November Y/Y comps will be the first year over year revenue increase since 2018, and will represent a blowout month
