I'm not very experienced since I started trading less than one month ago, but so far it's going well for me. A good feeling of the company is definitely needed, but you can DD vidya companies for sure. Compare Q12018 with Q12017 and it should give you at least an idea.
Blizzard has Overwatch that keeps getting a shitton of money from cosmetics and has just released a WoW expansion which, even if it's not as popular as the golden days, must have still sold millions.
One warning tho: vidya companies are very volatile lately, they always move of many whole points in a day.
