It's also completely beside the point. Just picture on this graph what another 50 or 100 billion for hospital levelling JDAMs really adds up to. Approximately fuck all.

The deficit only gets fixed with rate cuts, a national debt heemed by inflation, obscene economic growth, recession-triggering tax hikes, or spending cuts so politically suicidal you'd only get votes from emo congressmen.

This. This is what's going on.

Throw in a government shutdown and, baby, you got a first world bond market decaying into a second world bond market.

And it's hilarious how locked in all that shit is. You find something to cut here without being thrown out of office or being JFK'd.

>Where does all the tax money go?
Lotsa places.

>I heard US Healthcare is the most expensive in the world, but on the other hand isn't it private ?
Funny enough because Medicare maximizes the services it covers for patients while stiffing/underpaying providers, it ends up making normal healthcare even more expensive.

No, it emphasizes that we are bumping up into the problem, it is getting exponentially worse, and rationally balancing the budget to pay the debt down to reasonable level (with non-inflated dollars) is a delusional pipe dream.

You cannot zero out the defense budget, eliminate Medicaid and Medicare, cancel Social Security, or double income tax revenue. And those political impossibilities are required.

Defense pays for itself via extortionate trade deals, and we've got to cut something.

>What if we raise taxes?
lol get real
