Ascot Resources (AOT.to, AOTVF) had
a big pop from the November 2020 low as
the company raised ~90% of the capital
needed to build the Premier mine. Ascot is
waiting for final approval and then the should
begin construction in early Q3. Initial
production would come in Q4 2022.
The stock closed at C99c, for a market
cap of US $218 Million. The 400-day moving
average will provide support at C80c, but
there is risk this could ultimately bottom at
C80c. Michael Grey, one of the top analysts
in Canada has an net present value for
Ascot of C$4.25 per share at $1950 Gold.
That doesn’t include the potential to expand
the mine. As is, we are looking at production
of 140K oz Au/yr over an eight year mine life
at a cash cost of $642/oz. That’s cash flow of
~$100M/yr at $1600 Gold and potentially
$150M/yr at $2000 Gold. At C80c, Ascot
would have a market cap of US $175 Million.
From there the stock has 6-bagger potential
at $2000 Gold and 10-bagger potential in
three years if Gold breaks above $2100 and
they enhance the project to 200K oz Au/yr
for +8 years.
