I've been holding LINK since 2018 and I've never been able to understand why everyone is so bullish on staking. Staking always caused dumps, tokens get locked and whales sell for profits and your staking rewards aren't worth shit anymore.

Not to mention the fact that supply will actually increase since node operators will be getting paid from the 650m. inb4 linkies will be locked in nodes, you can still sell them by paying some fee probably.

Also neet nodes will never happen because big name companies will be running their own nodes so your best bet is to get into a staking pool and kike out 25% or more to the staking kikes (horserimmers).

Honestly LINK as a project is great but I think staking won't have a positive affect on the price like everyone is suggesting.

What do you guys think?

anyone else scared af? we are either gonna be stupidly rich or dump hard, there's no inbetween at this point.

on one hand, we should have hit $20 months ago with all the oracle, google, china etc. partnerships. on the other hand, this much volume and attention seems kinda fishy. I'm honestly so anxious and worried that I cannot enjoy the gains.

I was looking through payments from my node the other day and noticed a 30 link collateral loss

It's not a big deal, I'm still up 110 link for the month but I can't figure out what I did wrong

Is this just the price we pay for neet nodes? occasionally missing a request. what's to stop me losing a huge amount on a larger penalty? i guess i can just set my max stake per job to 50 link

Once the network is mature? You mean once the smartcontract adoption has almost fully happened? You mean when 90% of the derivatives market uses smartcontracts that use Chainlink? At that point LINK would be $1k-$10k or even more. The thing with yearly returns is that it depends on the price. If $10k worth of LINK will give a return of $7k a year, then more people will be buying LINK because a 70% ROI(like a dividend to a stock) is really fucking good causing the ROI % to drop because $7k from $20k is now 35%. That's why all the big corporations have a low dividend yield of about idk 3-4% a year. So with LINK when the REAL demand starts coming in, the ROI % will start growing, people/entities/whatevermemeword will start buying LINK, ROI % drops, demand is still coming, ROI % goes up, people buy LINK, ROI % drops yada yada yada.
