Alright poorfags, lets talk about the Avalanche big picture. The #e31c23 pill. First lets talk stats.

>4,500TPS (CPU bound)
No batching, not on a private server, no accounting tricks. Avalanche has been tested with thousands of live nodes geologically distributed around the world, with standard hardware. This number is CPU bound, so if the majority of nodes have better hardware this can grow to around 10,000 TPS.

>0-3 second finality
Transaction confirmed and finalized on the chain within 3 seconds. Most transactions are under one second, while a troublesome transaction would take less than three seconds.

>Scalable to tens of thousands nodes
Unlike Bitcoin, Ethereum, or thousands of other coins out there, Avalanche nodes take part in block production. Bitcoin and Ethereum only have around 13 pool nodes each participating in consensus, EOS has 21, Tendermint can have up to around 200, all of the other nodes are listen only nodes that do not participate. Avalanche can have tens of thousands of nodes participating in block production.

>Safety threshhold can be parameterized up to 80%
All other systems are subject to 33% and 51% attacks. Avalanche can be parameterized up to 80% fault tolerance making it resistant to these and other attacks that other protocols are subject to.

Avalanche is about as efficient as any protocol can be. It could theoretically be matched by a similar protocol, but can not be beaten without some form of centralization, batching, or hardware increases.

These numbers are not only AVAX, the native token of Avalanche, but for the platforms ass well through subnets. Any project has the ability to easily migrate onto Avalanche and gain the same performance numbers listed above, while retaining its own consensus rules, tooling, and VM. Any protocol if not migrated, can easily be forked into an improved version running on Avalanche.

Within 2 years, Avalanche will be the consensus engine underneath all of crypto.
