from my experience, the IRS isn't going to bother you on the crypto-to-crypto trade tax events that they put in there as i think more of a deterrent for people thinking of getting into crypto
as long as you pay your capital gains on it, i doubt they'll ever look into you any further than that
especially considering the fact that very very very few people actually pay taxes on every crypto tax event, which are insanely ridiculous rules
