Newfag to SOL network here, I just used the network for the very first time and FUCKING A, IT'S NIGHT AND DAY COMPARED TO ETH!

Sorry for sounding like a giddy zoomer and posting this "duh" thread, but for those of you still afraid to try the SOL network, I'd advise you do it immediately. Then you'd understand why the token is skyrocketing just as hard as INJ lately. I can now see why ETH has been getting fudded so hard lately. Hell, I lost almost $1k to a stupid Eth transfer yesterday because of the slow transaction, high gas fees and the liquidity bouncing around like Lizzo in bed.

I know Solana is easy to use and super cheap and fast, but is there any reason why it has a huge cult fanbase? I've never seen anything quite like it before.

Well ok, I really mean so much fud on reddit if anything.

Every time there's an outage, it's met with "OMG see!!!!! solana failed as the ethereum killer and will die a painful death" or something along those lines.

Based on mine and many others experiences, Solana is the closest thing to an "eth killer" that there is out there. Yes I know, you'll counter me with your ICP and Avax posts, but if anything, those two have much heavier flaws than Solana on the overall grand scheme of things (just start with tokenomics for starters, then dig further down the rabbit hole and you'll see why avax and icp are weaker and there's a big reason why those two don't get nearly the volume Solana does).

The only real gripe I have with Solana are the (somewhat) inflationary tokenomics. But the inflation isn't nearly as bad as the sneakier ones like ICP and Avax who claim to be deflationary but are in reality quite the polar opposite.

And yes I'm aware SBF was a big champion of Solana and he was a big reason for it surging past $200, but remember that a broken clock is always right twice a day.
