5mg is plenty, especially for a young man to start with a "recreational" dose. I could have written this exact post a year ago. Like it's surreal. Except instead of living with parents it was a low-rent apartment building in the middle of my zone, so I would just go home and shitpost and jerk off for hours each day while, say, a drywall patch was drying before I could paint. Honestly maintenance work was Top Comfy. I loved those hours between the time you had to clock in and when you could actually start knocking on doors.

I got sick of the ennui after 5 years of coasting and took a job as a property manager last year. There was plenty to complain about but at times I find myself missing it. It was honest work, I learned a lot, there aren't a lot of young men doing that kind of work but I think there should be. It wasn't getting-ahead money but it paid for a perfectly fine lifestyle at least before inflation set in. With no rent you're probably gonna do real well for yourself before long. Just don't stick around and let yourself rot on the vine. I don't regret the time but about 3 years in I was ready for a change when covid hit and with that uncertainty I held on for another 2 years past when I should have. Wages didn't keep up with inflation, I got frustrated, had some personal-life difficulties and took up drinking in a bad way.

Your value in PM will be the ability to get a large amount of work done reliably on short-notice. This is very particular. Quality of the paint-job is basically irrelevant, and "a large amount of work" means multiple basic-apartment-turnovers in disparate locations, not, making a 6-bedroom house beautiful in the same amount of time. Read between the lines here: Nobody hires a painting company like this on the quality of their paint-job, they hire for the NETWORK.
