with gas at $3ish, which is cheap, lets say i could get 6 gallons for $20ish. then to go 200 miles on 6 gallons, i would need a car that gets 33 mpg or better.

is that super unusual, no, plenty of cars get 33 or better. theyre just not, you know, cool cars.

and this is with gas cheap and electricity expensive atm.
