Why does alphabet (google) feel like the biggest letdown of the big tech companies? They are pure software company with the greatest momentum but just lost gas at some point. They pulled in the best talent and just fucked up. Meanwhile we have meta pumping up that just spams dumb social media platforms competing with elon musks resurrecting twitter which was just a dumb luck money printer for dorsey. Shit we had chromebooks and the netbook era that was cool/practical to some degree and google is just boring town now. Then you have Apple that just spams their patents for fashion products when the ipod was their last well thought out project but apple just keeps printing money and going up anyways. Google is just ass from both a tech nerd perspective or an investor perspective. Hell even boring microsoft can just say AI or broker a deal with some software company to buy them out and make investors happy, not to forget to mention wall street obsessing about them ever since covid ended.
