Well yes, it was trending down. But it was to be expected that we gigapump in November and December with good y/y inflation numbers, rates peaking, and oil/gas falling like a rock. There is so much nuance in this crap that I should probably write a blog about it. I really need to rant about the way this inflation was handled and how apparently everything is fine now, but whatever.
Sweden is a really bad example. The central bank there has completely pussied out and given in to the markets. Huge cuts are expected beginning next year and the weak currency is hugely beneficial for the export-oriented industry.
The central bank literally said (I am paraphrasing) that it will bring the currency back up to benefit the common man... ever since that, it's been devalued even more. Nobody cares.

Also, the indices in EU are hugely embedded in the overbought zone. Unless you get a break, they will keep pumping. That's how the algos are set up. They will keep hitting the upper bollinger and won't let go
