Both me and the girlfriend are real frugal people that hate going out to eat, too, so all I need is rent+homecooked food and some spending money. The plan is to swing/day trade up to a decent amount (while working) and then to put some money away to grow by itself (as I said, vanguard fund, anything that follows the S&P 500 basically). I plan on mostly renting living, so while it can be considered wasting money, it's actually (for me) preferable over being stuck with a big loan.

Oh and Reuters is shilling for $ITA saying the events in Ukraine will set a pattern for the 21st century meaning Cold War 2.0 is imminent and defense spending ($ITA) will likely be increased.

No guarantees there but after a few days of straight declines $ITA is looking a little better.

If you want to take up trading at least you have the time for it. Go download some audiobooks on intelligent investing and trading and shit. Read investopedia articles on everything. Make an account with an online brokerage service like tradeking.com for $4.95 trades.
