Wish I could find the video I'm thinking of but I think it was by this same guy or maybe the millionaire tech lead guy, where they explained how basically hb1v immigrants are basically slaves. Sure they're paid but they unironically have to do everything their managers tell them to do because at any point they can be let go. And unlike a normal citizen who can just get unemployment and find another job eventually, if a hb1 causes any problems them getting fired gets them effectively shipped back to the shit hole they came from.

They went on to explain the exact same thing happens in big tech companies and universities with their "lab students" who stay on as students for decades. maybe I've posted it here before or someone else is familiar with it. was very interesting to hear about.

Unironically I think our economy would be in far better shape if we got rid of hb1v because it's just the new slavery and it hurts our own citizens. What if instead of hiring 3rd worlders at reduced pay, we set up tech programs to encourage our own citizens youth to enter these fields? just a thought.
