Don't mean to shit on your dreams bud, but if you don't think a Commerical Airline has office politics and that all pilots are super cool hi-test fun bros, you are in for a fucking rude awakening.

Most commercial airline senior managers are run by one of two sociopaths:
(a) Super competitive highly passive aggressive former air force pilots with hi-rent MBA's or
(b) Vicious 40+year plus union flight attendant management slag who is still bitter that pretty girls get more attention

Wish you well bud, but don't burn the bridge at the tech company on your way out. I know tons of good pilots who fucking rage quit the airline world.
