Hi everyone,

We have built a tool to easily take notes on crypto assets listed on CMC.

It would be awesome to get some feedback on this!

In the last few months, I was researching a lot of altcoins. Inspired by the DeFi craze in summer I took the time to go through tons off different tokens systematically. This is when I realized that it’s annoying to take notes on an excel sheet as the tokens constantly change in ranks. Subsequently, I decided to build a tool to support people who are fundamentally researching altcoins.

For now, you can only take notes easily but I want to add labels so that you can also filter altcoins (e.g. DeFi or shitcoin).

What we need is more ideas on what we could build! Any suggestions are more than welcome :)
Thank you in advance for any inputs!

I built a tool to take notes on all the crypto assets listed on CMC.

During the last few months, I was researching a lot of altcoins and started to think there is a lack of tools that helps fundamental investors to research crypto assets. So I started to build a tool with the help of a friend. As a first feature people can simply take notes on all the assets that are on CMC.

Now we need some feedback if everyone would use it that way. Or if you have other ideas what we could build that helps with fundamental shitcoin analysis.

We will build whatever good ideas come up here.

My thinking is that there are already 7800 assets on CMC compared to 4400 publicly traded companies in the US. I think we’re shifting into a world where everyone can be an investor / VC. And they will need research tools…

Thanks

When researching tokens I found it annoying that I could not take not directly on CMC for example.

So I created a tool for that. It accesses the CMC API to show the tokens and then allows to take notes directly on that interface. The picture shows how it looks like.

It is an MVP and needs feedback. if someone wants to have a look, I’d be very glad to get some feedback.

Is that something anyone would use?

Current issues:
It only lists 200 coins as I don’t want to pay for API access yet but I can change that of course.

Coming features:
Users can create labels for specific tokens. Personally, I’d use labels such as “shitcoin” or “hidden gem” to differentiate between possible investments and shitcoins.
