This is also because our view on islam is very different from the arab view of it. We mixed islam together with world religions. Thats why if you ever go to indonesia you will see a lot of people that say theyre muslim drink bintang and have tattoos as well as have buddha statues in their home and other shit thats pretty haram.

Muslim women wear jeans and batik, as opposed to full face covering or even hair covering cloth.

We don't have the same connection to religion.
but neither do a lot of my turkish and surinamese (paki muslims) on islam, most are trying to get away from the faith but they pretend to still be it to not get disowned.
