I think VR chat is an amazing platform, has a lot of really good tech behind it and community support. But maybe they wanted an obscene big billion figure for their tech.

Meta should stick to improving headsets and building out the oculus store to semi-compete with the Steam store, at the very least make the best headset they can since they bought the original VR headset tech from rift.

I think most of his investments into VR went into headsets and the store - so I think meta is pretty undervalued right now. I believe their next headsets are going to be a significant improvement, but they might have to charge quite a bit for them to make up for all the R&D

Their metaverse game sucks ass though, im an avid VR enjoyer but I dont even know how to access the metaverse - I could only assume its like a very poorly done version of VR chat with none of the freedom. They should just write that mess off, but maybe in his mind it was going to be the next VR social platform when nobody really asked for that.

Keep an eye out for their upcoming headsets in 2024/2025 - its going to be at least 50% better than anything on the market - lets just hope it priced affordably
