What do you all look for in small companies to determine growth potential? I need some boomers to rain some experience on a young lad and lurking moar won't cut it because nobody talks about this...

It depends. Did they marry you for your money? If so then they married for the purpose of divorcing later in life.
If a woman asks how much money you make/have then tell them "enough to make the payments, go out every once in a while, and maybe raise a few kids" (adjust response to the situation)
Hide any amount of money that is above that in a secret savings account, and if money ever becomes a problem, take from the savings account and tell your wife you got a raise/bonus/loan/"I sold the Facebook/Google/Apple stocks I was holding for our retirement to pay for the surgery. I wish I didn't have to but we gotta make sacrifices for our children, don't worry I'll take care of everything"
If you buy anything big that wasn't for an emergency then make it a surprise and tell her you've been saving up for it to surprise them.
Heck, even if you're a 30 year old retired millionaire, just find something to do for 8 hours a day and pretend you have a job. Ideally, put spyware on your wife's cellphone that you can view from your cellphone so you know where she is at all times and she doesn't catch you playing pool at the bar or something going out with some friends.
