Pure ideology. Capitalism is a historical mode of production, saying it's simply "voluntary interactions" is meaningless, especially when you literally cannot survive without engaging with markets to buy the things you need.

You're literally parroting MMT talking points, it's ridiculous. The Fed only buys treasuries on the secondary market, for one, two, when you didn't have central banks and the Fed, capitalism was even more destructive. Marx was writing in a time that the injustice and horror of capitalism was obvious and government rarely interfered, all while pretty much every country operated with the gold standard. Back then a recession occurred every 2 years or so! The only reason inflation was lower back then was because periods of extreme deflation canceled them out!
