Hobby Lobby is technically specialized retail, right? I personally see them in the same lane as Dicks sporting goods. A specialty shop with a somewhat dedicated shopping base that prefers to shop in person for one reason or another that online cant match (fit, convenience, time crunch). Dicks also has the added benefit of brand partnerships (UA, Nike etc) I am not sure if that is applicable for Hobby Lobby, never been to one.
I could see BBBY becoming an online store, though my personal thought is if that was at all possible, that's the news we would be hearing about. Not rumors of bankruptcy. With that idea, we also run into the issue of capital. In this environment, who would lend them the millions if not billions they'd need to pull it off? and what would the interest be? 7%? 17%? It would be anything but a sure bet for the lender.
Dont forget, they tried the same "pivot to online" with GME. Choen was supposed to make GME the new steam...

cvna is in its best position to enter a short in weeks. Earnings is a little over a month away. Dumb money pushing up a stock that's not shorted enough to actually squeeze (~26.55% as of 12/15/22).
Bankruptcy is imminent, even a squeeze+dillution wont raise the company enough money to survive. cvna cant afford their debt, simple as.
