Because we aren't shit. People got rich off btc as well, but it's all minuscule amounts. We're talking about the global economy. Out of world population, only 1,3-2,3% of people have ever had any crypto. We're still in first stage moving to second. Nearly all of the wealth created from crypto will go to existing wealth (whales). We're literally bacteria in the gut of the lion. Why should it care if the bacteria benefits from its success?

They will STILL need a GLOBAL currency. If each bank creates their own shitty CBDC (which are centralized as hell), they won't use each others. Any international transaction would still require nostro-vostro accounts which account for trillions of dollars, just standing uselessly, waiting to be used. Even if a country created its own crypto, it would still retain the same problems as USD. Nobody likes global USD, not even Americans. It's a shitty situation with no alternative except a GLOBAL, DECENTRALIZED, TRUSTLESSS currency. Out of all existing cryptos, guess which is closest to the mark? Yes, exactly. See, you're not that dumb afterall. You can still partake in the greatest redistribution of wealth in the history of humankind.
