I think it might be better than the one I was looking at, or at least equivalent, but $50 cheaper anyways is a plus.
Power draw is very low either way, I'm not sure if I see a reason to pick the Pro for myself. They are pretty close.

My desktop doesn't even have this. I won't be getting the pro since I will only use it for video and VNs, no heavy gaming.

I see your point, but I really don't want to if I can avoid it. Maybe with dual boot so I can keep it handy if I get issues that I can't solve. I had some issues yesterday in the middle of a VN that had a cutscene because I missed some 32bit video codecs (gstreamer1.0-plugins-good + bad + ugly):i386, but I managed to solve it with not so much help from search engines...

I also like the histories on the hacking scenes for older consoles and how they broke the consoles with exploits.
There's also the sad thing with Nintendo's subscription model N64 emulator with only a handful games that were completely littered with bugs in early months. Meanwhile old consoles still just work, have the full library for free yoho, Remakes are often worse than the originals, and if you want a modern version of gc/ps2 era games you're better off building a PC and use an emulator with upscaling native resolution and adding as many effects as your GPU can handle rather than buying newer consoles and using backports that require internet, monthly subscriptions, and doesn't have an improved experience. This way you have access to way more different consoles and complete libraries. You can even use Netplay to play them online with friends, for free. I sound like a poorfag now, but it's true, why pay for something that's free. Imagine actually paying for something free. I don't get it.
