What's up friendo's.
25 year old college grad in Business admin, minor in econ, concentration in finance.
I worked sales and marketing, some contract negotiations for about 2 years. Problem is I can't break into the finance field. Having a buddy of mine help me out with an entry level position at Fidelity soon to get sponsored for my Series exams.
That being said, How did anyone here working in finance break into the field? Every job positing looks like it's trying to find people with several years experience and no one I know can really explain to me what the fuck they do at work.
So how did you get in?
Did you enjoy it?
Did you move away from it?
Do you plan on growing in finance?
Is work load/difficulty to pay worth it for you?

I have the possibility of attempting a commission in the U.S. military. I have the opportunity of possibly teaching abroad.
I have the opportunity of trying to establish a finish work business with my father.

But my short term goals right now are to get the fuck out of my house by any means necessary. The business idea would result in me being stuck at home for easily another 2 years.

How do you guys navigate the job searches?

Would really appreciate any feedback. My general interests are in the arts and political science. I've been trying to find a way to incorporate that, some have suggested an analyst position for an alphabet agency or just become a cop.
