Anyone here know much about consumer/contract law? I've got an interesting situation. I was using google shopping to find a tiny outboard motor (3hp) to go on a raft. Most were between $100-500. low and behold I see one for $5. cheap chinese brand. figured the ad must have been wrong but sure enough on their page- $5 with free shipping. so naturally i ordered it, expecting it not to go through or say error or whatever. but everything went through and i even got a confirmation receipt email saying thanks for your order, order id number status: paid, (already deducted from my debit card) and that they are getting my order ready to ship.

at this point- do i have a binding contract? i know if a company makes a mistake - a typo on an ad for example, they don't have to honor it. but since the purchase went through are they legally bound to honor it? its been about 4 hours since i placed order and they still haven't changed the ad. worst case scenario im out 5 bucks but i figured some of have to be into business law (fyi both me and the company are in the US)

either way i'll keep you boys updated.
