That's not how it works actually. Only 3% of the Treasury debt is variable rate. 7% tied to inflation rate. 90% of the national debt is fixed rate. So there will no massive debt crisis from higher rates that the government has to pay back. In addition, not all debt is due at any given moment, so no one is going to "recall the US debt" like schizos think China can do. The average interest on us debt is still around 2%, even with higher yields.
