Why is there almost no hype from normies? In 2017 when BTC was approaching $20k it was all over the news, coinbase was the #1 app and everyone was talking about it.

When there's crypto for high volatility investments and rare metals for the low volatile investments, what reason is there for a normal person to invest in the over-regulated stock market? The pennystock bullshit is even riskier than crypto and the fortune 500 barely go up 5% a year.

You see normies investing in stocks, usually with some kind of an investment agency that chooses some "safe" stocks for them that will be barely enough to outperform the dollar's inflation and that's if there won't be another market crash like in 2008.
Why don't more people invest small portions of money into riskier investments? Not neccesarily cryptos, those are way too high risk, but there's plenty of safe stocks like Tesla and Weed stocks that are basically guaranteed to go up.
Why would most normies rather have a small amount of money when they're too old to wipe their own ass rather than take some risk for once in the life and have a chance at making it while they can still enjoy it?
