there was a thread last week on small houses.

it piqued my interest and got my attention.

i live in a small shoebox of a condo in toronto.

want to get some land with waterfront somewhere in ontario and put a modern small house on it.

doesn't need to be winter proof as it will just by my summer cottage.

anybody have experience doing this in Canada?

No HOA, low property tax, low maintenance, small space so low upkeep and low furnishings. More money for crypto.

Tell me how is this not in every /biz/lets mind?

This is the future. The only thing I'd add to this is a larger deck, an outdoor BBQ and a long lap pool.
