Did you know that the SEC admitted that short selling is harmful to America in 2008? They had to ban short selling because it was far too profitable to just destroy companies than wait for them to mature.

I'm writing a research paper on whether a hostile nation could use short selling and market manipulation to harm a country's markets and economy. I've actually found a good deal of evidence to show that China has indirectly funded the destruction of many promising American small companies. Pretty nuts.
Our country encourages this. Their country prevents it from happening.
A lot of countries in Europe also have short selling banned for reasons like this.

I was thinking that poor people don't have enemies because no one is jealous of them, but rich people have enemies because of what they possess. So in theory, why do you want to work hard if others will be envious of you and try to kill you, increasing your paranoia of losing your entire wealth from years of hard work? Would it just be easier not to have anything and live the frugal life? (By this, I mean simply leading a normal life in order to fit in.)

If theres no oil, and all the nat gas is being bought up by europe so that the rest of the world has to buy coal, which is already 5x normal price already at the moon, what is the next fuel rush i should invest in?

Can i buy rainforests in an index to chop down for firewood? Or garbage to burn?
