>i just have a huge fondness ... copper
Ditto. I just wish it didn't oxidize so quickly.

Probably Provident (now JM Bullion). My purchase records for base metals is pretty sketchy. It could also have been off ebay.
The "Legalized It" bar came from Capowns, I think. Got a tube of 1-ozt rounds commemorating the legalization, too.

That's mostly why I bought it, too.
I also love the color when it's polished.

It depends on how and what you accumulate, and your financial goal.
Copper might go up, but neither copper nor silver are even on the USGS list of critical 'minerals.' Still, I've seen an increase in spot Cu price go from $2.50 to $3.20 now. More so, those nicely made artistic bars were selling for $7.50 a decade ago, and you can't find them for less than about $20/lb now, and (unaware) people buy them for $25 or more.
Mostly, you have to consider how *much* Cu you need to stack to make any significant headway financially. You'll need space and strong flooring. This can be said for tin, too. Its price is going up, and it's price puts it between Cu and Ag.
I bought some because I think it's a beautiful metal. But it's not a serious stack.

Manufactured copper (whether utilitarian or art) is grossly expensive. That said, the copper art bars I bought a decade ago are selling now for triple what I paid. But that brings in your second point - you need a shitload of it to make a dent in your portfolio. My recommendation is to buy bars for the novelty only. Hoping it will triple again might be fantasy amyway.

Love it. Clean and shiny copper's my favorite metal for color.
Silver's my favorite for art.
Gold's my favorite for wealth preservation and bugout.
