ETH could fail, which is common for big software projects.
besides that ETH2.0 will be the only true decentralized PoS BlockChain (pic rel). all others are prone to certain attacks or rely on centralized structures. on top of that a blockchain HAS TO be open source, would you trust something that is a huge black box?
