I don't really like any of the proposed new designs, at least not better than the current design. The one you posted is probably the best though.
I wish they'd do something with the Texas coin instead, pic related. They could take out Houston and Austin and put "In God We Trust" and "E Pluribus Unum". Instead of the Alamo they could put the Bill of Rights or a rising sun like our current design. That way it would be different enough from previous designs to avoid confusion.
On the other side, I'd like the eagle from the walking liberty.

I was gonna say, the ASE is the front from the walking liberty and the back from the Kennedt half dollar with a few minor changes, why not?

Another one I'd like to see is this Texas one. They could take out Houston and Austin and replace them with In God We Trust and e pluribus unum, and replace the Alamo with the Bill of Rights or the Liberty Bell or something.
