Well if ETH goes with by the laws of wall street psychology cheat sheet, than it should get back sooner or later. Another question is why are you HODLing ? If you want to actually make big profits you need to trade ETH to other Tokens/Coins and back, because that way you can have more money on the long ran. For example if you started with X ETH and after a few months of trading you got 4X ETH than you made a profit even if the market falls down, but if you just HODL you have to keep holding the ETH until it goes back up over 1000$ to make a profit.

Shouldn't he just rent his Korean property instead of selling it ? Your end goal seems to be a combination of real estate and businesses anyway. Real estate in Korea isn't worse than real estate in the USA. Not only would be making money by renting it, the value should keep rising for at least the next 7 years. After that according to the current birth rates, the population would start to decline but than again this can change at any time if they go back up and also if its in a big city, considering that the current trend is urbanization the price is gonna keep going up anyway.

I would say he should buy a profitable small or medium business with what he have liquidated and continue from that(He can follow the rest of the plan from there anyway, especially if his wife gives up on the savings and would be willing to invest). Also I believe Crypto currencies are at either the capitulation level or passed that a little while ago, so he should probably wait for it to go up first.

According to meme chart.... we are on our way to the 3rd dump / 'bottom'. We should ,best case scenario have a lot of sideways action / accumulation for months to come. Forming into an uptrend.... then media shilling, mass attention, followed by parabolic meme.....
