Only because you aren't acting like a smug retard I'll tell you. Essentially when staking goes live depending on the % returns you'll see people deciding to simply stake the tokens for collateral in smart contracts. The larger the need for chainlink tokens to be used in nodes, the more demand there will be for the tokens, combined with the fact that they will be locked up in the contracts themselves.

Eventually over time if decentralized oracles lead to an actual and/or significant reduction in cost for generally useless positions within corporations it will be equivalent to an entire industry being born with chainlink as the company with a cornerstone on the market with a first mover advantage and all the large companies already using their APIs. Think what google was for search engines, if this technology is actually useful then chainlink WILL be insanely huge.

The never selling meme isn't just a meme. There will be no reason to sell your tokens. Why in their right mind would sell what is likely to be the best method of passive income in the modern world with access to the income stream of every corporation on the planet?

I just bought 100 more, even though I have my 10K linklet stack I will continue to accumulate all the way to $10 and then guess what, I'll still keep buying more!

I was in your spot when I bought at 1.20 though OP so don't feel bad. I knew about LINK but put off looking into it and before I knew it mainnet was announced. Realize that this is not only guaranteed money at this point, but even if we go back to $5 from here any linkies bought right now will see % gains more than 5X better than many boomers will see in a decade. This is an opportunity of a lifetime, and all you have to do is simply buy some tokens and hold.

There is use for bitcoin i lived under capital controls and bitcoin was literally the only way of doing international purchases.

If that happened when bitcoin inflation was 10% imagine what will happen when bitcoin inflation is bellow fiat next year.

Forget about bitpay , they could ban all payment processors and due to their scarcity bitcoin would be a valuable unit of account and medium of exchange.

Bitcoin has survived when it was most vulnerable against all odds.

>but you can mine them both with old and new hardware.

At a loss you can but not gaining money.

Due to game theory old asics can't even justify their cost of electricity so they were usually thrown.

https://www.asicminervalue.com/

Next halving of btc will happen together with bch so old asics will move to mine bch.

Eventually probably mid 2021 we will reach the ultimate asics due to moore law limits and then asics will be measured by kw used per hour after that mining will become again proffitable for the common individual.

You may even literally use asics to heat your house because the cost of upgrading asics will never exist again as it will be phyisically impossible due to the moore law limits to create a better one.

This will cause mining to become incredibly descentralized again as having residential electric costs will destroy centralized mining and those asics may last for 20 years or until quantum computers if they can break crypto.

BTC is going to have less inflation than usd and eur next year, why do i need a cashout plan when fiat currencies will lose value faster?

You can't also take it between borders and gold was fully outlawed with jail penalty in the usa from 1933 to 1975.

If they could outlaw it with 1933 tech they can even more with today information and regulations.
Crypto is society evolving and reacting against the pressure of the state , gold and silver are history.

He is correct , proof of work based coins need a long time to reach low inflation and in that time they can be attacked by other pow coins miners.

BTC , LTC , BCH , XMR are special because they have the same game theory of satoshi nakamoto.
BTC having the lowest inflation is the most worthy (so will bch gain the second place when btc starts to bottleneck again).
LTC has a low inflation too and is like silver in fact it has the stock to flow ratio of silver (btc will have the stock to flow ratio of gold in 300 days).

XMR finally will reach low inflation level early 2020s.

So to say that btc is like gold and ltc like silver is not wrong at all.
In fact their stock to flow ratios will be identical to silver and gold next year.
