Chainlink
DMG
PNK
Avalanche

These are the most bullish projects in crpyto right now. Brilliant projects, brilliant teams with real uses.

Evening fellas,

I bought chainlink back when it was one dollar. I got a good deal and purchased 50,000 for a total of $25,000, so $0.5 per coin. Considering it was trading at $1 at the time I was getting twice as much as I would have on exchange.

I just looked at my wallet and realised it actually says "Linkchain"

I gather this is not the same thing as Chainlink?

Is there any use to Linkchain? Where can I swap my Linkchain for Chainlink? Ideally I'd get the same 2:1 ratio, so I can get 25,000 Chainlink for my 50,000 Linkchain

Friendly reminder that Nexo and likely several small time guys are currently either short LINK or have sold their LINK on the back of the FUD report. That report has now confirmed to be blatant manipulation and the aforementioned shorts will soon be looking to buy back in.

Do with this information what you will.

>muh token not needed

Actually token very much needed. Here's why, an example that most people on /biz/ will relate to.

Suppose you've got a million dollars of crypto lying around and you want to get a mortgage. You could go to the bank, send them loads of statements, wait for approval etc., basically cuck to the bank. Or you could use defi and post up some of your crypto as collateral.

So you post $500k in crypto as collateral and borrow $200k USDT from Aave. No approval required, its in your crypto wallet immediately, and the next day you have $200k in your account. Mortgage secured.

Now the smart contract you've entered into will need a reliable data feed of the cryptocurrency you've entered. Bear in mind one single incorrect input into the contract could liquidate your cryptocurrency holdings, causing you to lose $300k. So right away, for such high value contracts we can immediately throw away any centralised oracle. Out of the question. If you trust $500k of your money with a centralised oracle for several years you're just asking to lose your money.

Now, suppose we have a decentralised oracle like Chainlink. There's probably going to be 20+ nodes providing price data for your cryptocurrency which is fed into the smart contract which will determine if you get liquidated or not. If one node provides incorrect data you'll be fine. Normally there will be zero issues. However what happens when market volatility takes off and things get difficult?

What if a few of the nodes decide "Fuck it, we can't do this, let's turn off for a bit"
What if some exchange gets overloaded and can no longer provide accurate data?
What if the nodes get overloaded?

Apart from the money (haven't sold anything yet so all paper profits), the best thing about chainlink mooning is the fact that I was so right.

There it is, on coinmarketcap. In it's rightful place in the top 10. Chainlink is unavoidable now. If you go to coinmarketcap Chainlink is one of the first thing you'll see. On par with Litecoin, Bitcoin Cash and Cardano, major cryptocurrencies that have been near the top for years.

I, We were recommending people buy it when it wasn't even in the top 100. Indistinguishable to the naked eye from any other shitcoin. We recommended it in late 2017 or early 2018. More or less every cryptocurrencies have tanked since then. Many alts from back then are essentially worthless. Not us. We bought the best, the NUMBER ONE performing cryptocurrency of the last 2 years. We were right. It was literally true, all of it. The memes, prophecies, the breadcrumbs... it literally all turned out to be true.

It's only a matter of time until we surpass everything except Bitcoin and Ethereum. That is likely to happen this year. From there it's a question of when we overtake ethereum, which will also happen.

People who followed us have made ridiculous returns. My close friends and family have all invested in chainlink. My parents, who spent tens of thousands on my education and didn't have a pension at all until a few years ago, are now financially secure.

We are all going to make it.

I saw a chart today (trying to find it again, will post here as soon as I do) that showed that the top 1% of wallets hold 80% of all chainlink, excluding the team

This is up from about 50% in June 2019

The concentration of LINK in the top 1% wallets has been constantly growing since the June 2019 pump last year. It recently had a large pump from about 74% to its current 80% on the surge above 6 dollars

This blows my mind. The chainlink pump literally had nothing to do with normies jumping in. It's literally whales who are in since 2017 ploughing into more LINK. Normies are literally selling here while whales accumulate

Why shouldn't I hold a proportion of my crypto on exchanges?

Risk of holding crypto on a hard wallet: Theft, hacking (somewhat unlikely), house burning down

Risk of holding on coinbase: Exchange gets hacked or decides to seize your crypto

It would appear that given the two risks above are more or less completely disconnected, holding some crypto in each is a good hedge.

Prove me wrong

Personally, 50% of mine is in chainlink and additional 10% is in LP

Is anyone worried about a chainlink dump when staking is announced?

A lot of people seem to be under the deluded impression they'll be able to quickly stake with coinbase and earn a solid return. This is highly unrealistic and I'm thinking people who bought on the assumption they could stake on coinbase and receive 3%+ a year will be disappointed and sell.

I'll be happy to pick up bags if this happens but what do others think?

When chainlink moons, people are going to notice an odd change in how wealth is distributed among political ideologies. SJWs and redditors are suddenly going to become relatively poorer, while libertarians and alt right bros will suddenly become richer. It'll be subtle, yet obvious. You'll notice it on social media, that right wing bros are better dressed, driving better cars, looking better. Most will have no idea why this is, but we will.
