AEVA was looking really good with a contract deal with Daimler to supply LiDAR tech and was even spared the expenses of opening a mass production factory by allowing production to be at their own factories. Then another company deal with some kpop company but then dumped when a stock split was announced. Still holding because i bought pretty low before the rally.

AEVA made a deal with Daimler, one of the largest truck manufacturers for Mercedes Benz in Europe last week and now they've made a deal with South Korean company Joowon Industrial just this morning and we're just getting started.

>Car manufacturers getting more pessimistic in germany
Understandable. In germany there are less new regs, especially for EV.

In the US also less registrations. And Mercedes still got upgraded by Jefferies. Literally retarded. Mercedes currently is doing bad. Their Vans are doing good. And trucks (Daimler) at least pricewise. But not their standard cars. They don't look so good. Too round, too "cut" off or cut short on the edges. They look too sporty now.
Picrel, E-class. E for ELEGANCE. It is too sporty, too cut off in the back and low. It has to look like a SHIP. That's what they were to symbolize.

lmao Daimler Trucks +10% despite missing salesnumbers estimates. But they hiked prices so hard, with +1% more sales they made +10% revenue. And they expect less sales, but it still pumps. This isn't really a forwardlooking market anymore it seems.

>daimler trucks pays their engineers about $90k a year give or take, a truck driver (one month community college, often free) after one years experience can make easily more than that

truck drivers work 100 hours a week away from home for weeks at a time and piss in bottles. Engineers work <=40 hours a week and go home every night.

Don’t know anything about diesel mechanic jobs, if you’re able to handle prolonged physical labor maybe it could be a good deal

>> No.55464111 [View]

enginering is truly a worthless, pointless idiotic degree unless you are getting it from a top tier instiution with top tier connections and internships.

spend four years and thousands and thousands of dollars in debt to get your engineering degree then watch as the people who operate and maintain the stuff you design outearn you. daimler trucks pays their engineers about $90k a year give or take, a truck driver (one month community college, often free) after one years experience can make easily more than that. a diesel mechanic (depends, usually a two semester program) can make that after maybe two years on the job.

structural? the HVAC guy makes more a week than you do in a month. if you had to pay his mortgage you'd have five dollars left over every month.

don't even get me started on aviaiton. pilots and A&P's will earn literally multiples of what you do.

its a meme, which is why women and minorities are getting into it. run, dont walk, literally fucking RUN away from engineering.

Tesla is walking head first into collapse and has been for a while. All the other major auto firms have completely shifted into electric vehicle as their primary focus and are now running rings around tesla with vastly larger production scale and better quality control. Most governments in the west are now mandating all new car sales must be electric in the next 10-20 years, by which time Tesla will be utterly incapable of keeping up with GM, Toyota, Ford, VW, Daimler etc.

The reason Elon is currently shitting his pants and going all-in on self-driving cars that still cannot seem to identify obstructions and like to swerve into oncoming traffic is simply because he knows that the EV market is fucked for Tesla and the only niche he has left is self-driving, which soon will also crumble to competitors.

Since technical developments became more complex, research wouldn't be possible without a money printer and whole societies backing up this printers. The times of Gottlieb Daimler inventing fuel powered engines in his shed are over I guess.
This makes influence of government in IT and machine learning a logical consequence imo.
Nevertheless I'm an optimist (at least for microfauna :). Maybe we will see more self-sustaining and back-to-the-roots agriculture and economy in future. Nature itself still holds a lot of unused possibilities. And good luck with your new project.

FSD is a complete meme. "Assisted" driving already exists but is too buggy to meaningfully exclude the driver's attention & is likely to remain so for years (if not indefinitely). From an engineering perspective there are countless other processes that are objectively more valuable & less complex to automate, but also less memeable.

>>52638013
With the amount of real time data transmission required for even contemporary assisted driving systems to operate there would likely already be a secondary marketplace for this type of info if it weren't for the individual companies hoarding their findings to propel their own R&D. A fair model would allow the vehicle owner to own/capitalize off the data their vehicle collects.

>>52644322
Waymo & Tesla FSD are both memes. Tesla platform is inferior to almost every competitor from a hardware perspective. Their choice not to utilize LiDAR is unjustifiable & representative of the type of cost cutting decisions the company is willing to make at the expense of user safety. Also do you seriously think Google or Tesla has an engineering advantage over Daimler/MB, Chevy/GM, Toyota, etc? Stop drinking the marketing koolaid.

Cool, didn´t know that. They are working with Audi, Daimler, Porsche, Mercedes-Benz, siemens, bosch and the german institute of transportation. Bullish, every company will want a piece of Tezos. Meanwhile cardano is massively overvalued.....

>> No.29407796 [View]

Ok so here are the car companies with with links to Tezos.

Renault
BMW
Mercedes-Benz
Hyundai
Audi
Mithsubishi
Nissan
Kia
Daimler
Porsche

This are just the known ones. Which likely means that every other car company will have no choice but to be involved with Tezos in some type of way. Remember that cars will communicate with eachother, so one blockchain will likely be the standard, which means every car in the world might be connected to Tezos eventually.

Not only that, but every charging station as well. Every train station, every bus and every train. Every drone. FUCKING EVERYTHING.

Why? Because Tezos has the most secure smart contracts as of now, this is what these big companies have decided. And vehicles require the best security and thats why all the car companies are choosing Tezos.

Tezos might reach a mcap of $1 quadrillion dollars. It has potential to dwarf every other asset class on earth by a shit ton. Remember that Tezos is leader in Real estate STO´s which will be a Trillion dollar market in itself.

>> No.29406831 [View]

>>29406188
lol no they won´t. Every company I mentioned have already chosen Tezos as the platform to support aoutonomous driving. Which means the majoirty of the worlds cars will likely be connected to Tezos. The cars will communicate with eachother via the Tezos blockchain.

And not only cars, but buses, trains, space rockets, boats. Every type of vehicle will be using Tezos. And not only that, but Trillions of dollars in real estate will be tokenized on Tezos. Billions in Art, and billions in stocks.

Tezos has literally potential to reach a mcap of $500 Trillion. It sounds crazy, but it is the only blockchain with this potential. It´s fucking rediculous.

In January 2020 an excursion will lead the work group members to Paris, France. There they will visit a core developer team of the Tezos Blockchain at Nomadic Labs. The experts at Nomadic Labs are working on research and development on distributed, decentralized, and formally verified software.

"Workgroup members include automotive manufacturers such as AUDI, BMW, Daimler and Porsche, as well as other ENVITED Partners."
