cloud computing is already something people and companies can get for very cheap, while centralization is also better for businesses and people when it comes to cloud computing. There's really no need for RLC in the real world, I think they're a solution looking for a problem and that's why they really don't have any clients and won't ever. Someone posted something about RLC just overall being shit when he used it for their cloud computing.

Guys I found the problem with RLC: cloud computing is already something people and companies can get for very cheap, while centralization is also better for businesses and people when it comes to cloud computing. There's really no need for it in the real world, I think they're a solution looking for a problem and that's why they really don't have any clients and won't ever. Someone here posted something about RLC just overall being shit when he used it for their cloud computing.

There are people in other threads saying that IExec is not revolutionary because grid computing already exists in the form of BOINC and folding @ home etc

Well let me tell you a secret...

BOINC hit 29.8 pflops in 2019

Folding @ home hit 1.1 exaflops!

Guess what? The Bitcoin network hit 80,000 exaflops last year in comparison just sending btc around

Imagine what that kind of computing power could accomplish if directed towards the iexec network and using the marketplace to sell data sets and useful computations that can be used for a variety of industries?

Do you think companies like NVIDIA and Intel want this to happen? Do you think increasing the availability and mass adoption of cloud computing resources to the public is something that other tech companies will want too?
