Ethiopia, not exactly a model of financial infrastructure. Also the major banks in the west already use Axoni or LIINK. Since they are proprietary ETH chains, they will likely continue to use ETH for public transactions.

Name the institutions? As far as I know the big boys have set up proprietary ethereum based networks like axoni and liink.

here another citi breadcrumb from couple days ago.

>"...assures that every counterparty in every swap is seeing, and using, the same data."
>Axoni again
>With trillions of dollars in equity swaps being conducted around the world last year, financial giants like Citi and Goldman Sachs have to employ small armies to constantly check—and cross-check—every step of the process until the swap comes to maturity, sometimes months later. When things go wrong, when the numbers at one bank don’t match the numbers at another, those armies can lose days of work and millions of dollars on each transaction. “When there is a break, and it could be something as silly as keying the wrong payment dates and accruing interest differently, each party has to go back into their data sets and spend hours or days digging through huge, huge chunks of data,” says Greg Schvey, 33, Axoni cofounder and CEO. “And now we can show you that instantly and in a way that both parties have full visibility into.”
hmmm what could be the solution to this problem?

Larp.

Truffle is integrated with Axoni and Axoni and MS are sponsoring Trufflecon

Axoini were selected by DTCC to build AxCore

Azure and DTCC have been designed to use chainlink since 2016. Truffle uses Google services so there's the Axoni connection. Chainlink is a key protocol for the new internet and for decentralized finance that comes with it, the tcp ip comparison makes a lot of sense fundamentally. Basically everything dlt uses the standard. Here's something new for you biz: VSC extension and github support coming soon for chainlink

>the only "ETH killer" that is somewhat legit
How delusional are you? Do you really think that transaction sharding and a dumb combination of Proof of Work with a pBFT algorithm will beat Ethereum somehow? Even if it went live within this year?

There's no way the EIP will go through btw. This isn't 2016 anymore and it's not so much ETH comparatively.

Trillions of dollars move, LINK EOY 100 dollars.

LINK has already be specified to work for HyperLedger (Swift), native to EEA (Ethereum), and has been stated by the Gartner report to be working with Axoni.

3 of the six has been listed to be working with SmartContract, I assume the other three might be or can easily work with the middleware considering that is the purpose.

>The company is a small startup team with limited resources, but is well funded by
Silicon Valley investors that have also led rounds in other leading blockchain companies (such as 21, Blockstream and Axoni). As a first mover in the blockchain middleware space, the company needs to work closely with payments and data providers to launch its own oracles to increase the breadth of its offering. The company is positioned as the preferred solution for large payment systems and top-tier data providers to make their services purchasable directly by smart contracts.

>According to McKenney, the bank has also pursued other projects aside from exploring other possible collaboration opportunities for its CitiConnect platform. Among these projects are the investments made in several Blockchain startups, namely, Chain, Digital Asset Holdings, and Axoni.

>All the companies offer Blockchain solutions that don’t include a native digital currency.

>She also added that the bank is currently not interested in advancing projects to explore a virtual currency outside of state-backed digital currency, it remains open for that possibility in the future.

interesting read, but not hyper bullish for a DGB partnership with Citi.

I think PwC would have a greater interest in DGB in any case.
