After extensive research I’ve found some eye opening info. If you look into the original developers you’ll find out they tried to pitch this project for a while and it never took off for a reason. Someone else here mentions it but even with current crypto tech we can’t solve the lack of intelligence needed across the masses to be able to have a system as complex as kleros to work. A few legal firms looked into the project and released reports stating that through their research they concluded that the margin of error within the system which can’t be removed (which is obvious cause we’re introducing the human aspect into code) due to the fact that there is no vetting system as its decentralized. DYOR but you might have to do some digging. They’ve been really good about covering their tracks while they laid put out this ‘amazing project which totally isn’t too good to be true and a scam.’

I topped out around 600k at the start of 2018, and at that point you think "just one more 2x and I'll make it", but the 2x doesn't come. Your portfolio bounces around 500-600k, the volatility is nothing new so you hold as you have been for the past year, then things will do a sudden drop then small bounce, like say you drop to 350k but then you slowly climb back up to 430k, then it hangs around there, then to 200k. This continues until you're left holding 30k. All while the entire time you wonder "is this the bounce before we return to the bull market?".

Not the first time I've missed my shot at the big time in crypto, probably won't be the last. I try not to think about the what-ifs too much, nothing positive will come of focusing on that. If I let that feeling consume me I feel like pic related. Instead I reflect on constructive thoughts, such as what led me to the mindsight of missing that opportunity, what I can change so I don't miss these kinds of chances again, etc.

Why is engineering shitty? Pay for entry level is 60-80k full benefits depending on how well you built your resume in school. Engineering is a 5 year, often 6 year degree after internships or coops are factored in and they are not optional. So you piss probably 5 years of your life away on this shit and the pay is ok. Well if youd just went to work as an operator in a mine youd make 50k+OT straight from highschool. You'll never be sr mgmt but you wont have the opportunity cost of 50kx5.

I knew so many operators that made more than engineers. Then electricians. Fuck, electricians would make the same as sr mgmt and had infinite job security due to safety rules.

Then the actual work. Engineering work is retarded. Many many engineers just pad out data and come up with ways to make a middle managers retarded pet project work. Mgmt doesnt give a fuck about cost saving measures, all they care about are revenue improving measures because that's easiest to track and add to their resume.

Many engineers just process shitloads of poorly managed and formatted excel books for dozens of hours. Need a part designed? The mechanical engineer might make a basic drawing and estimate cost, a contractor will make the real design.

Engineers also get molested by retarded sales people.
