I think the mistep in your logic here is that you are assuming the DMM foundation is going to always and forever be in charge of acquiring new assets/new loans to put into the ecosystem

This is only true for right now.
If you read through some of the medium posts, they outline how people or entities who hold large amounts of DMG will have rights to introduce assets into the DMM ecosystem

This, while on a person-to-person basis, is centralized, is obviously as a whole decentralized. Of course this statement seems redundant, but I thought id mention it anyway.
When there are 50 parties with rights to introduce assets and loans into the DMM ecosystem, it has effectively become decentralized

No anon, I mean there is absolutely nothing in the blockchain space that can increase profit margins for global industries.

There is just no software that allows automatic execution of events driven by real world data feeds eliminating the need for vast amounts of personnel in select industries.
And there definitely isn't any way to speed up traditional finance and reduce fees by cutting out middle men and reducing latency.

On top of that, there is just no possible way to allow for a fully public and immutable system to be used by independent companies to conduct transactions in a trustless manner, while maintaining full confidentiality of the data in question.

this is their official github page: https://github.com/defi-money-market-ecosystem/protocol

the contract address is listed near the bottom under "DMG (Governance Token)", feel free to use the github instead of trusting a random faggot on an anonymous image board, but the address is 0xEd91879919B71bB6905f23af0A68d231EcF87b14

you can verify this on uniswap before doing anything by making sure it shows slippage rates and that youre getting ~440 DMG per 1 ETH or so (obviously changes every second)

>for what
I would refer you to the baseline protocol website for more information: https://docs.baseline-protocol.org/

But being brief, the main advantages are:
The Baseline Protocol is an approach to using the public Mainnet as a common frame of reference between systems, including traditional corporate systems of record, any kind of database or state machine, and even different blockchains or DLTs. It is particularly promising as a way to reduce capital expense and other overheads while increasing operational integrity when automating business processes across multiple companies.

Business processes like supply chains & supply chain management, service agreements, and thinks like SAPs ERP as well as CRM.

To be able to automate a significant portion of these processes allows you to essentially fire dozens or even hundreds of employees and replace them simply with code. You can then hire 5-10 guys to manage that codebase and do any troubleshooting, but ultimately this would lower overhead costs and increase profit margins.
